Product Overview
The Iona Lite Traffic Jacket is a well-engineered solution for professionals who require a balance of warmth, weather protection, and enhanced visibility. While its black colour offers a more discreet look than standard high-visibility yellow, the integrated reflective detailing ensures you remain seen in low-light environments. This medium-weight jacket is built from high-density 300D Oxford fabric, making it a reliable choice for the demanding British weather.
Key Features
- Multiple storage options including two large pockets and an external chest pocket designed specifically for a mobile phone or radio, keeping essential tools within reach.
- A drawcord hood and hem allow for a customisable fit, effectively preventing wind chill from entering the garment during inclement weather.
- The stain-resistant finish ensures the jacket maintains a professional appearance even after heavy use in dusty or oily environments.
- A double PU coating provides a robust barrier against water, ensuring the wearer remains dry throughout the working day.
Design & Performance
Performance starts with the shell fabric—a 100% polyester 300D Oxford weave. This material is specifically chosen for its high-tensile strength and resistance to abrasions. Inside, the jacket is fully lined with smooth polyester Taffeta and features a substantial polyester filling, ensuring significant heat retention during winter shifts. The medium-weight construction provides the necessary insulation for cold environments without feeling overly restrictive during physical activity.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Iona Lite Jacket is an excellent canvas for corporate branding. We recommend embroidery for company logos and individual names, providing a durable and professional appearance that withstands the rigours of daily wear. For larger branding requirements across the back, our heat-applied print methods ensure your logo remains bold and clear against the black fabric. Every customisation project is handled by our expert in-house team in Telford, drawing on decades of experience to ensure a superior finish.
Use Cases
This jacket is ideally suited for logistics personnel, delivery drivers, and site supervisors who work in areas where enhanced visibility is beneficial but full Hi-Vis certification is not a strict requirement. It is particularly effective for outdoor work during the autumn and winter months where protection from wind and rain is paramount.

Practical Advice
Given the insulated nature of this jacket, it is designed to be worn over standard work shirts or sweatshirts. If you intend to wear heavy fleeces underneath, ensure you account for the additional bulk when selecting your size. The adjustable drawcords are essential for sealing in warmth on particularly windy days; we recommend tightening the hem once stationary to maintain core temperature.
Caring for your product
To maintain the integrity of the PU coating and the reflective elements, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. High temperatures can damage the waterproof properties of the shell fabric and may compromise the adhesive on the reflective tapes.
Do not bleach this garment, as chemical agents will degrade the polyester fibres and dull the colour. It should be drip-dried on a line rather than tumble-dried; heat from a dryer can cause the synthetic materials to warp or melt, ruining the garment's structure.
Ironing and dry cleaning must be avoided entirely. Exposure to a hot iron will permanently damage the double PU coating, while dry cleaning chemicals can strip the stain-resistant finish from the Oxford weave, leaving the jacket vulnerable to the elements.
