Product Overview

The Insulated Knit Glove (GL13BKR) is an essential component of the All Weather Protection range, designed specifically for those who require reliable hand warmth without the bulk of heavy industrial mitts. Combining a robust exterior with a specialized thermal interior, these gloves provide a practical solution for maintaining dexterity in cold outdoor environments. The black acrylic knit offers a professional appearance suitable for various industries, from logistics to site management.

Key Features

  • Hardwearing Acrylic Knit: The outer layer is constructed from 100% acrylic, providing a durable barrier that withstands the rigours of daily outdoor use.
  • Insulatex Lining: The interior features a 100% polyester Insulatex lining, which provides superior thermal insulation by trapping heat close to the skin.
  • Soft Inner Finish: The lining is designed for comfort, ensuring that the gloves remain pleasant to wear even during extended shifts.
  • Stretch Fit: The knitted construction allow for a flexible fit that accommodates various hand shapes while maintaining its form.

Design & Performance

This glove is engineered for thermal efficiency. The lightweight knit construction ensures that the wearer does not feel weighed down, yet the dual-layer design provides a significant thermal barrier. The 100% acrylic outer is chosen for its resilience and ability to maintain its shape, while the Insulatex lining—a high-performance polyester material—creates a soft, warm microclimate for the hands. This combination ensures that the glove performs well in biting winds and low temperatures typical of British winter conditions.

Why No Customisation?

We do not offer customisation on these Insulated Knit Gloves to ensure the structural integrity of the knit is maintained. Applying embroidery to a knitted surface can lead to 'puckering' and may damage the fine fibres, while the flexible nature of the fabric makes it unsuitable for standard heat-press printing. By providing these as-is, we ensure you receive a product that functions exactly as intended without compromising the thermal lining.

Use Cases

These gloves are ideal for personnel who spend significant time outdoors but do not require heavy-duty mechanical protection. They are a staple for warehouse staff working in cold storage, delivery drivers, site supervisors, and security personnel. They are equally suited for the daily commute or for staff representing your business during outdoor events.

Practical Advice

For the best performance, ensure these gloves are stored in a dry place when not in use. While the knit provides a flexible fit, we recommend ensuring they are pulled snugly over the wrist to prevent heat loss and to allow your jacket cuffs to overlap for maximum weather protection.

Caring for your product

To maintain the thermal efficiency and soft texture of your gloves, it is vital to follow the specific care instructions provided. Proper maintenance ensures the acrylic fibres do not become brittle and the Insulatex lining retains its loft.

We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 30°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures can cause the synthetic fibres to lose their elasticity and may lead to shrinkage, which will compromise the fit of the glove.

Do not use bleach when cleaning these gloves. Bleaching agents are too harsh for the acrylic and polyester composition and will cause the black pigment to fade and the fibres to weaken prematurely.

The gloves should be line dried only. Do not tumble dry, as the intense heat of a dryer can melt the synthetic components or cause significant distortion to the knit pattern. Similarly, do not iron these gloves; direct heat will damage the polyester lining and the acrylic outer.

Finally, do not dry clean. The chemicals used in professional dry cleaning are unnecessary for these materials and can strip the fibres of their natural flexibility.
