Product Overview
The Insulated Knit Beanie (B013BKR) is a core component of our All Weather Protection range, engineered to provide essential thermal insulation for professionals working in demanding cold-weather environments. Constructed from a durable fine-knit acrylic outer, this beanie is designed to offer a balance of warmth, comfort, and professional presentation. The internal lining features specialized microfibre technology, which provides a significant thermal barrier without adding unnecessary bulk to the wearer's profile.
Key Features
- Insulatex Microfibre Lining: This high-performance lining traps heat close to the head, ensuring superior warmth retention during prolonged exposure to low temperatures.
- Windproof Construction: The tight knit of the acrylic fabric acts as an effective barrier against cold gusts, preventing wind chill from compromising wearer comfort.
- Fine Knit Acrylic: The choice of high-quality acrylic ensures the garment maintains its shape over time while remaining soft against the skin.
- Lightweight Design: Despite its thermal properties, the beanie remains low-profile, allowing it to be worn comfortably throughout a full shift.
Design & Performance
The performance of this beanie relies on the synergy between its 100% acrylic knit shell and the 100% polyester Insulatex lining. Acrylic is an ideal material for workwear headgear as it is resilient, quick-drying, and resistant to the fading often caused by outdoor exposure. The interior Insulatex lining is composed of dense microfibres that create air pockets to stall heat loss. This combination ensures that the garment is not only warm but also breathable enough to prevent moisture build-up during physical exertion.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This beanie is an excellent canvas for brand identity. At MyWorkwear, our Telford-based team—who have been perfecting their craft since 1976—highly recommends embroidery for this specific item. Embroidery provides a durable, raised finish that sits perfectly on the knit fabric, offering a professional appearance that withstands regular wear. While large-scale printing is also an option for bold designs, the textured nature of the knit makes embroidery the preferred choice for company logos and staff names.
Use Cases
This garment is specifically designed for individuals working in outdoor sectors such as construction, agriculture, and logistics. It is equally suited for warehouse staff operating in cold storage environments where maintaining body temperature is critical for safety and productivity.

Practical Advice
The flexible nature of the knit construction ensures a secure fit for a wide variety of head sizes. For those working on-site, the low-profile design means this beanie can often be worn comfortably under certain styles of safety helmets or hoods to provide an additional layer of thermal protection.
Caring for your product
To maintain the thermal efficiency and structural integrity of the Insulatex lining, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 30°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures may cause the synthetic fibres to contract or lose their shape.
It is essential to avoid the use of bleach, as harsh chemical agents will degrade the acrylic fibres and cause the colour to fade. Similarly, do not dry clean this garment, as the solvents used in that process can damage the microfibre lining.
After washing, the beanie should be line dried. Do not use a tumble dryer, as the intense heat can melt the fine polyester fibres within the insulation. Ironing should also be avoided, as the pressure and heat will flatten the knit and permanently damage the material's ability to trap heat.
