Product Overview
The Insulated Fleece Beanie is a fundamental piece of winter equipment designed for those who refuse to let the British weather dictate their productivity. This classic black headwear combines a soft fleece outer layer with a specialised inner lining to provide a high warmth-to-weight ratio, ensuring heat retention without unnecessary bulk. Its practical design allows for versatile wear, making it a reliable choice for maintaining comfort during long shifts in cold environments.
Key Features
- Insulatex Inner Lining: This soft, thermal lining is engineered to trap heat close to the head, providing an essential barrier against harsh weather conditions.
- Anti-Pill Finish Fleece: The 100% polyester fabric is treated to prevent the formation of small bobbles, ensuring the garment maintains a professional appearance even after repeated use.
- Unrollable Brim: This functional design feature allows the beanie to be worn comfortably under a safety helmet, providing warmth without compromising site safety.
- High Warmth-to-Weight Ratio: The lightweight nature of the polyester fleece ensures you remain warm without feeling weighed down during physical activity.
Design & Performance
Constructed from a medium-weight polyester fleece, this beanie is built for the rigours of the workplace. The anti-pill finish is a critical technical detail; it ensures that the surface of the fabric remains smooth and does not degrade through friction, which is particularly important for headwear that may be frequently handled or worn under other equipment. The inclusion of the Insulatex lining adds a layer of sophisticated thermal protection, trapping air to create an insulating pocket that keeps the wearer warm in plummeting temperatures.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
To ensure your team presents a unified and professional image, this beanie is suitable for both print and embroidery. For a formal and long-lasting finish, we recommend embroidery. It is the ideal method for applying company logos or individual names, providing a textured, high-quality look that stands up well to daily wear. If you require a larger, more vibrant graphic, our printing services are an excellent alternative. All customisation is handled at our Telford facility by our expert team, who have been perfecting these techniques since 1976.
Use Cases
This beanie is designed for any professional working in exposed conditions. It is particularly effective for construction workers and tradespeople who require head protection, as it transitions seamlessly into a helmet liner. It is also well-suited for warehouse staff in cold storage environments or transport and logistics personnel who spend significant time outdoors during the winter months.

Practical Advice
For those working on-site, remember to unroll the brim fully when wearing this under a hard hat to ensure the helmet sits securely and correctly on the head. This medium-weight fabric is also thin enough to be tucked into a pocket when not in use, making it a convenient addition to your winter kit.
Caring for your product
To maintain the thermal performance and appearance of this beanie, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 30°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures can damage the synthetic polyester fibres and may affect the integrity of any applied customisation.
Do not use bleach on this garment, as it will strip the black colour and weaken the fleece material. This product should not be tumble dried; excessive heat can cause the fleece to shrink or lose its soft texture. Instead, it should be line dried in a natural environment.
Finally, do not iron or dry clean this beanie. The heat from an iron will melt the polyester fibres and the Insulatex lining, while dry cleaning chemicals are unnecessarily harsh and can degrade the insulating properties of the fabric.
