Product Overview
The F301 Hi-Vis Contrast Fleece is a robust and reliably engineered garment designed for those who require maximum visibility without sacrificing thermal comfort. This fleece is crafted with a relaxed fit and generous sizing, ensuring ease of movement for the wearer throughout a demanding shift. Its primary function is to provide high-level safety certification while maintaining a smart, professional appearance, even in harsh working environments.
Finished in a classic Orange and Navy colourway, this garment is specifically designed to meet the rigorous safety standards of the rail industry as well as general high-visibility requirements. The substantial, medium-weight fabric provides warmth and protection against the elements, making it an essential layer for transitional seasons or colder outdoor tasks.
Key Features
- Certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 3, providing the highest level of visibility for personnel working in high-risk environments.
- Complies with RIS 3279 for the rail industry, making the Orange/Navy version suitable for use on UK rail networks.
- Advanced anti-pill finish prevents the fabric from bobbling, ensuring the garment remains in excellent condition over prolonged use.
- The contrast navy panels are strategically placed in high-wear areas to help mask dirt and maintain a cleaner look during the working day.
- Internal mesh and taffeta lining allow the fleece to glide over base layers, reducing friction and increasing comfort.
Design & Performance
Constructed from 100% polyester, this fleece is designed for durability and performance. The anti-pill finish is a critical technical detail; it ensures that the surface of the fabric does not break down into unsightly bobbles, which is a common failure in lower-quality fleece garments. By maintaining a smooth surface, the fleece continues to look professional for much longer.
The garment features a mesh lining in the body for breathability and a smooth taffeta lining in the sleeves to make it easier to put on over other workwear. This combination of materials provides a substantial feel without being overly bulky, striking a balance between insulation and mobility.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The F301 Hi-Vis Contrast Fleece is an excellent candidate for customisation. For companies seeking a refined professional appearance, embroidery is recommended for chest logos or staff names. The dense structure of the fleece provides a stable foundation for high-quality needlework that will last the life of the garment.
For larger branding or high-impact designs on the back, professional printing is a versatile option. Our in-house team in Telford, established in 1976, has decades of experience in ensuring your branding is applied precisely without compromising the high-visibility properties of the fabric.
Use Cases
This fleece is ideal for professionals in the construction, logistics, and highways maintenance sectors. Given its RIS 3279 compliance, it is particularly well-suited for rail contractors and trackside workers. It serves as a dependable outer layer in cool conditions or as a warm mid-layer beneath a waterproof shell in more extreme weather.

Practical Advice
As this garment features a generous fit, it is ideally suited for layering over thermal tops or polo shirts. If you prefer a more tailored fit, you may wish to consider the measurements carefully. When selecting customisation, ensure logos are placed to avoid obscuring the reflective tape, ensuring you remain fully compliant with safety standards.
Caring for your product
To ensure the reflective properties and the anti-pill finish of your fleece remain effective, careful maintenance is required.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures can damage the reflective tape and cause the polyester fibres to break down prematurely.
Do not use bleach when laundering this garment. Bleaching agents will strip the fluorescent pigments from the fabric, significantly reducing its visibility and compromising its safety certification.
The fleece should be line dried and never tumble dried. Excessive heat from a tumble dryer can distort the fabric and damage the adhesive bond of the reflective stripes.
Do not iron this garment. High heat from an iron can melt the polyester fibres and the reflective components, causing permanent damage to the garment's structure and safety functions.
Please note that this garment has a maximum limit of 25 washes. Beyond this point, the high-visibility performance may fall below the required safety standards, and the garment should be replaced to ensure continued protection.
