Product Overview

The HA18 Helmet Liner Cap is a precision-engineered accessory designed for those who require additional thermal protection without compromising the fit of their safety equipment. Acting as a lightweight but effective thermal barrier, this cap sits close to the scalp to retain essential body heat during colder shifts. Its slim profile ensures it integrates seamlessly under any standard safety helmet, providing comfort without the cumbersome bulk often associated with winter headwear.

Key Features

  • The stretchy polyester and elastane composition ensures a snug, secure fit that moves with you, preventing the cap from shifting during active tasks.
  • Its ultra-low-profile design allows it to fit under various helmet types without affecting the adjustment or safety rating of your head protection.
  • The moisture-wicking properties of the polyester help manage perspiration, keeping you dry and comfortable throughout the working day.
  • The lightweight fabric construction provides a significant warmth-to-weight ratio, ensuring you stay warm in biting winds without feeling weighed down.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a sophisticated blend of 92% polyester and 8% elastane, this liner cap is all about performance and resilience. The polyester provides the structural integrity and moisture management required for high-intensity work, while the elastane offers the necessary four-way stretch to accommodate different head shapes comfortably. This fabric choice ensures that the cap maintains its shape even after repeated use. Its performance is particularly evident in all-weather conditions, where it acts as a reliable base layer that protects the most vulnerable area of the body from heat loss.

Why No Customisation?

We do not offer customisation on the HA18 Helmet Liner Cap because it is a technical undergarment designed to be worn beneath safety equipment. Adding embroidery or print to this item would not only be largely invisible during use but could also create pressure points or irritation against the skin when pressed down by a helmet. Furthermore, maintaining the integrity of the stretchy fabric is paramount for its function as a close-fitting thermal layer.

Use Cases

This cap is an essential for site managers, engineers, and construction workers operating in exposed environments during the autumn and winter months. It is equally effective for cyclists or any professional required to wear head protection in cold or windy climates. If your work keeps you outdoors when the temperature drops, this is a discreet but vital addition to your uniform.

Practical Advice

For the best results, ensure the cap is pulled down low to cover the crown of the head securely. When paired with a high-quality safety helmet, you may find you need to slightly adjust your helmet's internal cradle to account for the additional layer, though the cap's minimal thickness makes this adjustment negligible for most users.

Caring for your product

To maintain the elasticity and performance of your helmet liner, it is crucial to follow the recommended care instructions. We recommend a maximum wash temperature of 30°C using a normal process. Washing at higher temperatures can degrade the elastane fibres, leading to a loss of stretch and a loose fit over time.

Do not use bleach, as harsh chemicals will damage the synthetic fibres and compromise the fabric's integrity. The cap should be line dried rather than tumble dried; the intense heat from a tumble dryer can cause the polyester to become brittle or shrink. Finally, do not iron or dry clean this item, as these processes are unnecessary for this fabric and will ultimately shorten the lifespan of the product.
