Product Overview
The ES1 Essential Sweatshirt is a foundational piece of professional attire, engineered to provide a balance of comfort and utility. Constructed from a balanced 50% polyester and 50% cotton blend, this garment is designed to withstand the rigours of daily wear while maintaining a sleek, modern appearance. The inclusion of a brushed finish ensures the fabric feels soft against the skin, making it an ideal choice for teams requiring reliable, all-day comfort without sacrificing a professional silhouette.
Key Features
- Brushed Fabric Finish: The internal brushed surface provides exceptional softness and adds a layer of thermal insulation, keeping the wearer comfortable in cooler environments.
- Polycotton Blend: By combining natural cotton with durable polyester, the garment benefits from the breathability of cotton and the shape-retention and crease-resistance of synthetic fibres.
- Classic Fit: Designed with a versatile fit that allows for easy movement on the job, ensuring it remains practical for various physical tasks.
- Reinforced Construction: Built to endure repeated industrial or domestic laundering, ensuring your investment maintains its professional look over time.
Design & Performance
Performance in a workspace often comes down to the reliability of one's gear. This sweatshirt utilises a medium-weight fabric that offers substantial protection and warmth without the bulk of heavier outdoor garments. The 50/50 material composition is particularly effective at managing moisture and resisting the typical pilling often found in lower-quality alternatives. Whether you are moving between a warehouse and an office or working on a site, the fabric's integrity ensures it looks as good at the end of the shift as it did at the start.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The ES1 Essential Sweatshirt is an excellent canvas for corporate branding. For a more traditional and prestigious finish, we recommend embroidery. Our Telford-based team uses high-precision machinery to apply logos and names, creating a durable, three-dimensional effect that stands up to heavy use. If your branding requires large, vibrant graphics or high visibility, our print department can provide a crisp, clean finish that ensures your company message is clearly seen. Having handled customisation since 1976, we ensure every stitch and print meets our rigorous quality standards.
Use Cases
This sweatshirt is a versatile solution for a wide range of sectors. It is perfectly suited for delivery drivers, retail staff, and warehouse operatives who require a smart yet functional uniform. It also serves as an excellent layering piece for tradespeople working in varying temperatures, providing enough warmth for the early morning start while remaining breathable throughout the day.

Practical Advice
As this is a 4XL garment, it provides a generous fit for those requiring additional room for comfort or layering. We suggest wearing this over a moisture-wicking polo shirt for optimal temperature regulation. The medium-weight nature of the fabric also allows it to fit comfortably under a high-visibility waistcoat or a heavier waterproof jacket during the winter months.
Caring for your product
To ensure the longevity of your sweatshirt and any custom branding, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures can damage the polyester fibres and lead to premature fading of the black pigment.
Avoid the use of bleach at all costs, as this will degrade the fabric strength and cause irreversible discolouration. To maintain the garment's shape and prevent shrinkage, do not tumble dry. Instead, we advise line drying, which is gentler on the seams and the brushed finish.
If ironing is required, use a maximum soleplate temperature of 150°C. Please ensure you iron on the reverse of any printed areas to avoid damaging the customisation. Finally, do not dry clean this garment, as the chemicals involved can interfere with the fabric's integrity and the adhesive used in certain printing processes.
