Whether used as a standalone top or a reliable base layer, its long-sleeved design makes it a versatile choice for the modern workplace.
Key Features
- Premium 100% Cotton: The natural fibres provide superior breathability and a soft touch against the skin, ensuring comfort during long shifts.
- Long-Sleeved Design: Offers increased coverage and warmth, making this an essential year-round option for both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Versatile Layering: The streamlined fit allows it to be worn comfortably underneath sweatshirts or jackets without adding unnecessary bulk.
- High-Value Construction: Built to withstand the rigours of daily wear while maintaining its shape and professional finish.
Design & Performance
The performance of the B196 is rooted in its material composition. By using a medium-weight, high-quality cotton fabric, the garment offers the necessary substance for workwear while remaining light enough for active movement. The construction is focused on longevity; the seams are designed to maintain the t-shirt's structure even after repeated laundering. The choice of black or navy ensures a timeless look that resists showing minor dirt, keeping your team looking professional throughout the day.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This garment is an excellent candidate for both print and embroidery, allowing for flexible branding solutions. For those seeking a professional finish that conveys authority, embroidery is highly recommended for company logos or individual names. The tight weave of the cotton provides a stable foundation for intricate needlework.
Alternatively, for larger, high-impact branding or promotional events, our print services deliver sharp, vibrant results. All customisation is managed in-house by our expert team in Telford. With our heritage dating back to 1976, we ensure that your branding is applied with technical precision to match the quality of the garment.
Use Cases
The B196 is ideally suited for corporate environments where a smart-casual appearance is required, as well as for tradespeople who need a reliable layer for site work. Its clean design makes it a popular choice for delivery drivers, warehouse staff, and event personnel who require a uniform that is both functional and professional.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider how the garment will be used. If you intend to wear it primarily as a base layer beneath a sweatshirt or fleece, a standard fit is appropriate. However, if it is to be worn as a primary outer layer, ensure there is sufficient room for comfortable movement. We recommend ordering based on your usual chest measurements for the best results.
Caring for your product
To maintain the integrity of the cotton fibres and the vibrancy of your custom branding, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Washing at higher temperatures may lead to gradual degradation of the fabric and could affect the lifespan of any printed elements.
Avoid the use of bleach in your laundry cycle. Bleach is a harsh chemical that will weaken the natural cotton fibres and cause significant discolouration, particularly on black and navy garments.
We advise against the use of a tumble dryer. The high heat can cause the t-shirt to shrink and may damage the bond of printed logos. Instead, line dry the garment to preserve its shape and finish.
If ironing is necessary, use a maximum temperature of 150°C. To protect your embroidery or print, always iron the garment on the reverse side. Finally, do not dry clean this item, as the solvents used in the process are unsuitable for the fabric and customisation.
