Product Overview

The Composite Textile Trainer S1PS ESD SR FO is a modern solution for professionals who require the protection of safety footwear without the restrictive weight and rigidity of traditional boots. This trainer is specifically engineered to combine a sleek, contemporary aesthetic with the high-performance safety features necessary for demanding work environments. By utilizing advanced composite materials, it provides a lightweight feel that enhances mobility throughout long shifts.

Key Features

  • 100% Non-Metallic Construction: Built entirely without metal components, this trainer is ideal for environments with security scanners, ensuring you can move through checkpoints without unnecessary delays.

  • Fibreglass Toecap: The integrated fibreglass toecap offers robust protection against impact and compression while being significantly lighter than steel, reducing foot fatigue over time.

  • Anti-Penetration Composite Midsole: A flexible midsole layer protects the underfoot from sharp objects, maintaining the shoe's overall flexibility while ensuring safety on hazardous surfaces.

  • ESD Protection: Designed to prevent the build-up of static electricity, these trainers are essential for those working with sensitive electronic components or in environments where static discharge must be controlled.

  • Fuel and Oil Resistant Outsole (FO): The specialized sole material is resistant to degradation from oils and fuels, extending the lifespan of the footwear in industrial or kitchen settings.

Design & Performance

The upper is constructed from a blend of KPU and Mesh, a combination that balances structural durability with high breathability. The mesh allows for consistent airflow, which is critical for maintaining foot hygiene and comfort during high-activity tasks. Underneath, the EVA and Rubber outsole provides a sophisticated dual-density approach; the EVA provides cushioning for impact absorption, while the rubber ensures superior slip resistance (SR) and longevity.

Because it is a medium-weight trainer rather than a heavy boot, it excels in roles that require frequent movement, bending, and agility. The flexible nature of the textile and composite materials means the trainer moves with the natural gait of the wearer, rather than forcing the foot to adapt to a stiff shell.

Why No Customisation?

We do not offer customisation, such as embroidery or printing, on this product to ensure the structural integrity of the safety footwear is never compromised. As a piece of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), any puncture or heat application involved in customisation could potentially void the safety certifications or weaken the protective barriers that keep you safe on the job.

Use Cases

These trainers are particularly suited for professionals in the catering and hospitality sectors, including chefs, bakers, and butchers, where slip resistance and toe protection are paramount. They are also an excellent choice for workers in the electronics industry or cleanroom environments where ESD protection is a technical requirement.

Why MyWorkwear

We understand that your footwear isn't just a uniform—it's an essential tool for your daily work.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider that technical safety socks are often thicker than standard hosiery. If you intend to wear heavy-duty work socks, ensure you have sufficient room for toe movement. For those frequently working on hard floors, the EVA cushioning in these trainers will provide significant relief, but ensure the laces are tied securely to maintain the effectiveness of the anti-penetration midsole.

Caring for your product

To maintain the safety performance and aesthetic of your trainers, we recommend regular cleaning to remove dirt and debris. Allowing mud or chemicals to sit on the KPU and Mesh upper can lead to premature degradation of the fibres, which may eventually compromise the structural support of the shoe.

If the trainers become wet, they should be allowed to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area. Never place them directly on a radiator or use intense heat sources for drying, as this can cause the adhesives in the EVA/Rubber sole to fail and may harden the textile upper, leading to cracking.

Regularly inspect the tread of the outsole. As the slip-resistant patterns wear down over time, the effectiveness of the SR rating will diminish. Keeping the soles free of trapped stones and grease will ensure you continue to benefit from the maximum grip intended by the manufacturer.
