Spun-Bonded Technology: The single spun-bonded layers provide significant tensile strength, meaning the pad will not pull apart or disintegrate even when fully saturated with heavy liquids.
Perforated Construction: Each pad is perforated to allow for easy tearing, enabling you to use only the required amount for smaller drips or to fit the pad into tight spaces, which reduces unnecessary waste.
High Absorption Capacity: Each individual pad is capable of absorbing 0.5L of liquid, providing a highly efficient ratio of material to fluid and ensuring a quick cleanup process.
Lint-Free Material: Designed for use in sensitive environments, the lint-free finish ensures that no fibres are left behind, making these pads ideal for laboratory use or cleanroom maintenance.
Design & Performance
Constructed from high-grade Meltblown Polypropylene (MBPP), the SM80 Chemical Pad is designed for maximum fluid retention. The manufacturing process creates a dense network of microfibres that pull liquid into the centre of the pad through capillary action, locking it away and preventing drips during disposal. Despite being a lightweight material, the technical bonding process ensures it remains sturdy under pressure. The yellow colour-coding is an industry standard for chemical hazards, providing an immediate visual warning to staff that a spill is being managed.
Why No Customisation?
We do not offer customisation for the SM80 Chemical Pad as it is a disposable safety consumable. This product is designed to be used in emergency spill situations and then disposed of as hazardous waste; therefore, branding would be impractical. Furthermore, any attempt to print or embroider on Meltblown Polypropylene would compromise the material's absorbent structure and could potentially lead to chemical bypass or leakage, which would undermine the safety purpose of the product.

Caring for your product
To maintain the performance of your spill control equipment, proper storage is vital. We recommend storing these pads in a cool, dry place away from direct moisture. If the pads become damp before use, their ability to absorb hazardous chemicals will be significantly diminished, potentially leading to an unsafe cleanup operation.
Additionally, keep the pads away from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Ultraviolet light can eventually degrade the synthetic polypropylene fibres, causing the pads to become brittle and lose their high tensile strength. By storing them in a dark cabinet or within their original packaging, you ensure they remain in peak condition for when they are needed most.
