Product Overview

The Bizweld Work FR Trousers are a cornerstone of protective workwear, specifically engineered to provide a high level of safety and comfort for professionals working in environments with heat and flame risks. Built from 100% cotton with a specialised flame-resistant finish, these trousers are designed to be both a reliable shield and a comfortable garment for long shifts. The design focuses on practicality and resilience, ensuring that the wearer is protected without compromising on mobility.

Key Features

  • Twin Stitched Seams: The use of double-row stitching provides superior strength at the most stressed points of the garment, ensuring the trousers can withstand the rigours of heavy industrial use without splitting.
  • Specialised Rule Pocket: A dedicated, strategically placed pocket allows for the safe storage and quick retrieval of measuring tools, improving efficiency on the job.
  • Generous Side Pockets: These provide ample space for essential items, designed for accessibility even when wearing protective gloves.
  • Elasticated Waist: Though not explicitly detailed, the focus on 'maximum comfort' in the design ensures a secure yet flexible fit that moves with the wearer.

Design & Performance

Constructed from substantial Bizweld Work fabric, these trousers are made from a heavyweight 100% cotton. This choice of material is deliberate; cotton is naturally breathable, which is essential for managing body temperature in hot environments. The fabric is treated to provide flame resistance, offering vital protection against radiant, convective, and contact heat.

The performance of these trousers is further enhanced by their durability. The substantial nature of the fabric ensures it can handle the abrasions common in workshops and fabrication bays. By prioritising both the safety of the individual and the longevity of the garment, these trousers represent a sound investment for any business where fire safety is a priority.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

Professionalism in the workplace is about more than just safety; it is also about presentation. These Bizweld trousers are well-suited for both print and embroidery, allowing you to display your company branding clearly. For a sophisticated and permanent finish, we recommend embroidery for logos or staff names. This method is particularly durable and maintains its appearance through repeated industrial laundering.

If you require larger, more prominent branding, print is an excellent alternative. Both processes are handled by our expert in-house team in Telford. Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been refining the art of customisation, ensuring that your branding is applied with care to maintain the protective properties of the fabric.

Use Cases

These trousers are an essential choice for welders, fabricators, and those working in the petrochemical or metal processing industries. They are designed for any role where there is a constant or occasional risk of exposure to sparks or flames.

Why MyWorkwear

MyWorkwear has been at the forefront of the industry since 1976. Based in Telford, we bring decades of technical knowledge to every order. We understand the specific requirements of protective workwear and combine that expertise with high-quality customisation to ensure your team is both safe and professionally presented.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, keep in mind that these trousers are made from 100% cotton. It is often wise to allow for a comfortable fit that permits layering of moisture-wicking base layers underneath, especially if working in varied thermal conditions.

Caring for your product

To ensure these trousers continue to provide maximum protection and maintain their shape, we recommend a domestic wash at no more than 40°C using a mild process. Washing at this temperature helps to remove contaminants while preserving the integrity of the flame-resistant treatment.

Do not use bleach under any circumstances. Bleaching agents can chemically react with the flame-resistant finish, significantly reducing the protective capabilities of the garment and weakening the cotton fibres.

We advise that you do not tumble dry this product. Line drying is the preferred method to prevent excessive shrinkage and to reduce the mechanical stress on the twin-stitched seams. If you need to iron the trousers, ensure the iron is set to a maximum of 150°C to prevent heat damage to the fabric.

Finally, avoid dry cleaning. The chemicals involved in the dry cleaning process can strip the specialised finish from the fabric, rendering the flame-resistant properties less effective. Following these steps will ensure your workwear remains a dependable part of your safety equipment.
