Product Overview
The Nautilus Black S6 CI FO SR is a technically advanced safety ankle shoe designed for professionals operating in environments where hygiene and temperature regulation are critical. Built to meet the stringent EN ISO 20345:2022 S6 standards, this footwear combines a water-resistant microfibre upper with a specialised Mono PU outsole. It is a substantial, sturdy boot that prioritises both protection and wearer comfort in demanding settings such as food processing or cold storage.
Key Features
SlimCap Toe-Cap: A 200 joules resistant toe-cap that provides essential protection against impact and compression while maintaining a lower profile than standard caps.
SmellStop Lining: This hi-tech 3D fabric lining features permanent antibacterial treatment to prevent the growth of bacteria and odours, ensuring the shoes remain fresh even after a long day on your feet.
Cold Insulation (CI): Tested to provide thermal protection against temperatures as low as -17°C, making these shoes suitable for refrigerated environments.
Metal-Free Construction: Ideal for workplaces with security scanners or where non-conductive footwear is a requirement.
Hydrocarbon Resistant Outsole: The Mono PU outsole is specifically designed to resist degradation from oils and fuels, extending the life of the footwear in industrial settings.
Design & Performance
The Nautilus is constructed using high-quality water-resistant microfibre, which offers a robust alternative to traditional leather while remaining vegan-friendly. The AirTech single density technology used in the upper and outsole ensures a balance between durability and flexibility. Inside, the shock absorption in the heel region reduces the impact on joints during movement, which is particularly beneficial for staff working on hard, industrial floors. The footwear also supports orthopaedic made-to-measure footbeds complying with European norms DGUV112-191, allowing for personalised comfort without compromising safety standards.
Why No Customisation?
At MyWorkwear, we take safety certification seriously. We do not offer customisation, such as embroidery or printing, on this specific item because piercing or heat-treating the microfibre upper could compromise the S6 water-resistance rating and the structural integrity of the safety boot. To ensure your PPE performs exactly as the manufacturer intended, we provide these as-is.
Use Cases
These ankle shoes are perfectly suited for the hygiene and food industries, where water resistance and easy-to-clean surfaces are essential. They are also an excellent choice for workers in cold storage facilities or logistics personnel who require anti-static, metal-free protection that can withstand low temperatures and slippery surfaces.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider the type of socks you will be wearing. Given the cold insulation properties, many users find a standard fit works well, but if you are layering for extreme cold, ensure there is enough room for circulation. If you require orthopaedic adjustments, remember that only DGUV112-191 compliant footbeds should be used to maintain the safety certification.
Caring for your product
Maintaining your safety footwear is essential for ensuring long-term performance and hygiene. We recommend cleaning the microfibre upper regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Allowing dirt or chemical residues to remain on the surface can eventually degrade the material and reduce its water-resistant capabilities.
Never dry your shoes directly against a heat source, such as a radiator. Excessive heat can cause the microfibre to become brittle and may affect the bond of the Mono PU outsole. Instead, allow them to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area to preserve the shape and integrity of the materials.
To keep the SmellStop lining effective, ensure the shoes are allowed to dry out completely between shifts. If the interior becomes damp, using cedar shoe trees or simply stuffing them with paper can help draw out moisture and maintain the internal environment of the shoe.
