Product Overview
The K-Hurry Shoe, part of the sophisticated Kaptiv range, represents a significant step forward in industrial footwear engineering. This S3L rated low shoe is designed for those who require the highest level of protection without the cumbersome weight traditionally associated with safety boots. By combining a water-resistant Nubuck upper with the intelligent i-daptive system, this footwear manages to be both a formidable barrier against workplace hazards and a remarkably comfortable companion for long shifts on hard surfaces.
Key Features
- Aluminium Toe-Cap: Provides 200 joules of impact resistance while remaining significantly lighter than traditional steel, reducing wearer fatigue throughout the day.
- SmellStop Antibacterial Lining: A permanent treatment that prevents the proliferation of bacteria and fungus, ensuring your shoes remain fresh and hygienic even after intense use.
- Fresh'n Flex Puncture Resistance: A high-tech fabric insole that protects the foot from sharp objects underfoot while maintaining the flexibility of the shoe.
- i-daptive System: An intelligent technology that adapts to the conditions of the ground, providing stability, energy return, and dissipation of impact to protect your joints.
- HRO Heat Resistant Outsole: Designed to withstand contact with high temperatures for short durations, making it suitable for demanding environments like tarmac or roofing.
Design & Performance
The construction of the K-Hurry Shoe focuses on dynamic performance. The Nubuck upper provides a natural water resistance, essential for maintaining dry feet in unpredictable conditions, while the double-density Pu/Rubber outsole offers exceptional slip resistance on both ceramic and glycerin surfaces. Inside, the Dry'n Air Omnia footbed ensures constant air circulation, which is vital for temperature regulation and moisture management during active tasks.
The i-daptive system is the standout performance feature; it works much like a vehicle's suspension, correcting the foot's axis and reducing the risk of sprains on uneven terrain. This level of technical sophistication ensures that the shoe performs as well on a factory floor as it does on a complex construction site.
Why No Customisation?
We do not offer customisation, such as embroidery or printing, on the K-Hurry Shoe. This is a technical piece of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) certified to EN ISO 20345 standards. Any puncture to the upper or application of heat-based transfers could potentially compromise the integrity of the water-resistant Nubuck or the structural safety ratings. At MyWorkwear, we believe in keeping your safety equipment exactly as the engineers intended, ensuring you remain fully compliant and protected.
Use Cases
The K-Hurry is ideally suited for professionals in the construction, engineering, and logistics sectors. Its heat-resistant outsole makes it a sensible choice for those working near hot surfaces, while its anti-static properties and hydrocarbon resistance make it equally at home in mechanical workshops or fuel-handling environments. It is a versatile choice for anyone who finds themselves moving between the office and the site frequently.
Why MyWorkwear
MyWorkwear has been a fixture in the British workwear industry since 1976. Based in Telford, we have spent decades refining our understanding of what makes a product durable and fit for purpose. We don't just sell shoes; we provide expert-led solutions backed by nearly half a century of experience. When you purchase from us, you are benefiting from a legacy of technical expertise and a commitment to quality that is woven into everything we do.
Practical Advice
When selecting your size, please note that these shoes are built on specific widths—a width 12 for men and 10.5 for women—to ensure a better ergonomic fit. We recommend pairing these shoes with high-quality technical work socks; a poor sock can often negate the moisture-wicking benefits of the SmellStop lining. If you find yourself between sizes, the i-daptive system provides a snug, supportive fit that accommodates the natural swelling of the foot during the day.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance and longevity of your footwear, it is essential to clean them regularly. Use a soft brush to remove dried mud and debris from the Nubuck upper. Allowing dirt to remain on the leather can cause it to dry out and crack over time, which will eventually destroy the water-resistant properties of the material.
If your shoes become wet, always allow them to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources like radiators. Forced drying can make the leather brittle and cause the internal adhesives to fail prematurely. Finally, ensure the outsoles are kept clear of stones and grease to maintain the integrity of the slip-resistant tread pattern.
