Product Overview
The K-Cross Shoe S3 ESD SRC from the Kaptiv RXT collection represents a sophisticated approach to industrial safety footwear. Designed for those who require more than just a basic barrier against the floor, this shoe integrates advanced i-daptive® technology to manage impact energy actively. It is a substantial, robust shoe that meets the stringent EN ISO 20345: 2011 S3 standards, ensuring that whether you are navigating a busy warehouse or a sensitive electronic assembly line, your feet remain protected, dry, and surprisingly comfortable throughout the shift.
Key Features
i-daptive® Technology: This system intelligently dissipates high impact energy, providing a dynamic comfort solution that adapts to your movements and reduces fatigue during long hours on your feet.
Water-Resistant Upper: The PU and TPU construction provides a reliable barrier against moisture, ensuring your feet stay dry in damp environments without sacrificing breathability.
200 Joules Resistant Toe-Cap: A critical safety component that guards the front of the foot against significant impact and compression hazards common in industrial settings.
Puncture-Resistant Fresh’n Flex Midsole: This non-metallic layer protects the underside of the foot from sharp objects while maintaining the flexibility required for natural movement.
SmellStop Antibacterial Lining: An integrated treatment that prevents the growth of bacteria and fungus, keeping the interior of the shoe hygienic and reducing unpleasant odours.
ESD Protection: Specifically designed to protect electronic devices from electrostatic discharges, making these shoes essential for high-tech manufacturing environments.
Design & Performance
The construction of the K-Cross Shoe utilizes a high-performance blend of PU and TPU for both the upper and the outsole. This choice of materials ensures the shoe remains resilient against hydrocarbons and general wear and tear while providing a sturdy, stable base. Inside, the Fresh’n Flex midsole offers a puncture-resistant barrier that doesn't feel like walking on a plank of wood; it allows for the natural flex of the foot, which is a mercy during a ten-hour shift.
The i-daptive® system is the real hero here. It acts somewhat like the suspension on a high-end vehicle, absorbing the shock of heel strikes and returning energy to the wearer. Combined with the SmellStop lining, which manages the internal climate of the shoe, the performance focus is clearly on long-term wearer comfort and foot health.
Why No Customisation?
We do not offer customisation, such as embroidery or printing, on the K-Cross Shoe. Safety footwear is engineered to meet specific certification standards, including water resistance and ESD conductivity. Penetrating the upper material with needles or applying heat-press logos could compromise these technical properties and invalidate the safety certifications that protect you in the workplace.
Use Cases
These shoes are ideally suited for professionals working in electronics manufacturing, automotive assembly, and light engineering where ESD protection is mandatory. Given their S3 rating and water-resistant properties, they are equally at home in logistics and warehousing environments where a slip-resistant, puncture-protected shoe is required for daily safety.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, remember that these shoes are designed with both men’s and women’s widths in mind to ensure a secure fit. For those working in ESD environments, we recommend pairing these shoes with dedicated anti-static socks. A standard thick woolly sock can sometimes interfere with the conductive path required for the ESD protection to function at its best.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance and longevity of your safety shoes, regular maintenance is essential. Allowing dirt or chemicals to sit on the PU/TPU upper can lead to premature degradation of the material. We recommend wiping them down with a damp cloth after use to remove any surface contaminants.
Avoid placing these shoes near direct heat sources, such as radiators, if they become wet. Forced drying can cause the synthetic materials to become brittle or warp, which may affect the integrity of the bonded soles. Instead, allow them to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated space.
Do not use bleach or aggressive chemical cleaners on the footwear, as these can strip the water-resistant coatings and damage the antibacterial lining. A simple, routine clean will ensure the i-daptive system and safety components continue to perform as intended for the life of the shoe.
