Product Overview
The Be-Fast S3 HRO CI HI SRC is a substantial piece of safety footwear from the Base Classic Plus range, engineered specifically for professionals operating in environments where standard shoes simply cannot cope. This isn't merely a shoe; it is a meticulously designed barrier between you and the hazards of the workplace. With its S3 safety rating and additional certifications for heat and cold insulation, it provides a reliable and sturdy foundation for those who spend their days on their feet in demanding conditions.
Key Features
- SlimCap Toe-Cap: This 200-joules resistant cap provides essential protection against falling objects and compression, but with a thinner profile that reduces weight and improves comfort.
- SmellStop Lining: An antibacterial and antiodor treatment that prevents the growth of bacteria responsible for unpleasant scents, ensuring your footwear remains fresh even after a long shift.
- Fresh’n Flex Midsole: This puncture-resistant base ensures that sharp objects underfoot do not compromise your safety, providing peace of mind on construction or industrial sites.
- Heat Resistant Outsole: Capable of resisting temperatures up to 300°C for one minute, making these shoes suitable for hot work surfaces.
- Thermal Insulation: The footwear is tested for both cold insulation (down to -17°C) and heat insulation (up to 150°C), keeping your feet at a stable temperature regardless of the external climate.
Design & Performance
The Be-Fast is constructed using a Double-Density AirTech PU/HRO Rubber for both the upper and the outsole. This choice of materials results in a substantial, sturdy boot that doesn't compromise on flexibility. The AirTech technology focuses on shock absorption in the heel region, which is critical for reducing fatigue during extended periods of standing or walking on hard surfaces.
From a performance perspective, the SRC slip resistance rating indicates that the tread pattern is designed to provide maximum grip on both ceramic and steel surfaces. The water-resistant upper further enhances its utility, preventing water penetration and keeping the internal environment dry and comfortable.
Why No Customisation?
We do not offer customisation on the Be-Fast S3 safety shoe because it is a critical piece of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Any modification, such as embroidery or the application of heat-transferred logos, could potentially pierce the water-resistant membrane or weaken the structural integrity of the materials. To ensure your footwear remains compliant with UNI EN ISO 20345:2012 standards and provides the intended level of protection, we provide this item in its original, certified form.
Use Cases
This footwear is ideally suited for heavy industrial roles, construction sites, and civil engineering projects. Its specific heat and cold insulation properties also make it an excellent choice for tarmac workers, utility engineers, or those working in cold storage environments where temperature regulation is as important as physical protection.

Practical Advice
These shoes are designed with a men’s width and are compatible with orthopaedic made-to-measure footbeds complying with European norms DGUV112-191. If you require specific arch support, ensure your custom insoles meet these standards to maintain the shoe's safety certification. Given the substantial nature of the build, we recommend wearing them with a high-quality work sock to manage moisture effectively.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-performance standards of the HRO Rubber and PU materials, it is essential to keep the shoes clean. Use a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris after every shift. Allowing mud or chemicals to remain on the upper can lead to the material drying out and cracking, which will eventually compromise the water resistance and longevity of the shoe.
It is particularly important to remove hydrocarbons or oils from the outsole. If left unattended, these substances can gradually degrade the rubber, reducing the effectiveness of the slip resistance and the heat-resistant properties. Store your footwear in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can cause the leather and synthetic components to become brittle.
