Product Overview
The Auckland Half Mask Kit (P418) is a comprehensive, professional-grade respiratory solution designed for immediate deployment in hazardous environments. This kit removes the complexity of selecting individual components by providing a medium-sized P410 Auckland Half Mask together with two P970 combination filters. These filters offer ABEK1P3 level protection, ensuring the wearer is shielded against organic and inorganic vapours, acid gases, ammonia, and high-concentration particulates. It is a robust solution for professionals who require reliable protection without sacrificing comfort during extended shifts.
Key Features
- Ready-to-Use Kit: By including both the mask and the specific ABEK1P3 filters, this kit ensures you have the correct, compatible protection immediately available for site work.
- High-Specification Filtration: The included P970 filters provide broad-spectrum protection against a variety of gases and vapours, making it a versatile choice for multi-hazard environments.
- Twin Filter Configuration: The dual-filter design effectively balances the weight across the face, reducing neck strain and preventing the mask from shifting during movement.
- Unobstructed Field of Vision: The low-profile placement of the filters ensures that the wearer’s sightlines remain clear, which is essential for precision tasks and general site safety.
Design & Performance
The Auckland mask is manufactured from Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE), a material chosen for its exceptional flexibility and soft touch against the skin. This ensures a high-quality airtight seal, which is critical for respiratory safety, while remaining comfortable enough for long periods of wear. The TPE construction is resilient and maintains its shape even under the rigours of daily professional use.
Performance is further enhanced by the medium-sized fit, which is designed to accommodate a wide range of facial profiles. The weight of the unit is distributed intelligently; by using two smaller filters rather than one large canister, the centre of gravity remains close to the face, providing a stable and secure feel that does not impede the user’s range of motion.
Why No Customisation?
As a critical piece of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), this mask kit is sold without customisation. To ensure the continued safety of the wearer and to maintain the integrity of the respiratory seal and material certifications, we do not apply any printing or embroidery to this product. Safety equipment of this nature must remain in its original, manufacturer-approved state to provide the intended level of protection.
Use Cases
This kit is specifically recommended for professionals working with pesticides, where fine particulates and chemical vapours are a constant risk. It is also an excellent choice for those involved in chemical handling, painting and decorating, carpentry, and construction tasks that involve high levels of dust or organic vapours. It is a staple for plumbers, welders, and tree surgeons who require dependable, reusable respiratory protection.

Practical Advice
For the Auckland Half Mask to perform effectively, it is essential to achieve a perfect seal against the skin. We recommend that wearers are clean-shaven in the area where the mask meets the face, as facial hair can significantly compromise the airtight seal. When layering with other PPE, such as safety goggles, ensure the mask is fitted first to maintain the correct positioning on the bridge of the nose.
Caring for your product
Maintaining your respiratory equipment is vital for ensuring its continued performance and your ongoing safety. The TPE facepiece should be regularly wiped down with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove perspiration and surface contaminants. Failure to keep the facepiece clean can lead to skin irritation and may degrade the elastomer material over time.
Under no circumstances should the mask or its filters be subjected to a domestic wash, as submerging the filters will immediately render them ineffective and compromise the internal valves of the mask. Bleaching agents must be avoided as they can cause the TPE to become brittle and crack, leading to seal failure.
This product must not be tumble dried or ironed; the high heat will melt the plastic components and permanently deform the facepiece. Store the mask in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and contaminants when not in use to prolong its service life.
