Product Overview

The Avocet Softshell is a versatile and professional outerwear solution designed for those who require a balance of protection and agility. Presented in a refined Black and Graphite colourway, this jacket offers a modern, two-tone aesthetic that fits seamlessly into any corporate or industrial uniform. As a medium-weight garment, it provides a functional layer that guards against the elements without restricting movement, ensuring you remain comfortable throughout the working day.

Key Features
  • The softshell fabric is engineered for flexibility, allowing for a natural range of motion during physically demanding tasks.
  • The Black and Graphite design is not only stylish but practical, effectively concealing dust and marks encountered during a typical shift.
  • The XS sizing is tailored to provide a professional, close fit for smaller frames, avoiding the safety hazards of baggy clothing.
  • The material provides a reliable barrier against wind and light moisture, making it an essential item for transitional weather.

Design & Performance

This softshell is designed with durability in mind, utilising a robust fabric that stands up to the daily wear and tear of a busy workplace. The medium-weight construction ensures it is substantial enough to provide warmth while remaining breathable enough to prevent overheating during active periods. The graphite accents provide a subtle contrast to the black base, resulting in a garment that looks as good in a client meeting as it does on a construction site.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Avocet Softshell is perfectly suited for customisation, allowing you to represent your business with a professional appearance. For a traditional and long-lasting finish, we recommend embroidery. Our Telford-based team, operating since 1976, uses high-quality threads to ensure your logo or staff names are rendered with precision and clarity.

For larger, more graphic branding, heat-applied printing is an excellent alternative. This method is particularly effective on the smooth surface of the softshell, ensuring your company’s identity is bold and visible. All customisation is handled in-house, ensuring the highest standards of quality control from start to finish.

Use Cases

This jacket is an excellent choice for a wide variety of sectors, including logistics, facilities management, and site supervision. Its professional appearance makes it equally suitable for customer-facing roles and technical staff who spend their time on-site or in transit.

Why MyWorkwear

With a heritage dating back to 1976, MyWorkwear has decades of experience in providing high-quality workwear to UK businesses. Based in Telford, our expert team understands the technical requirements of different industries, ensuring that every garment we produce meets our rigorous standards for performance and branding quality.

Practical Advice

For optimum comfort, we recommend wearing this softshell over a moisture-wicking base layer or a standard polo shirt. This allows the garment's breathable properties to function correctly. If you intend to wear a thick sweatshirt underneath for winter work, you may wish to consider the fit carefully to ensure full mobility.

Caring for your product

Maintaining your softshell correctly will ensure it continues to perform its technical functions and keeps your branding looking sharp for years to come.

We recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. Using higher temperatures can cause the synthetic fibres to lose their shape and may lead to the premature degradation of printed logos or embroidery tension.

Avoid the use of fabric softeners during the wash cycle. These products can coat the fibres and block the breathable properties of the fabric, which will eventually lead to the garment feeling clammy during use.

This garment should be air-dried rather than placed in a tumble dryer. Excessive heat in a dryer can damage the fabric's structure and may cause heat-applied prints to peel or crack.

If ironing is necessary, use a cool setting and never iron directly over any printed or embroidered areas. Direct heat can melt print transfers and cause embroidery threads to pucker, compromising the professional finish of your workwear.
