Product Overview

The Nimbus Womens Crescent jacket represents a sophisticated approach to technical layering. This hybrid garment expertly combines the insulation of a padded jacket with the flexibility of a knitted mid-layer, making it an ideal choice for the British transitional seasons. Designed specifically for the female form, it offers a tailored silhouette without compromising on the utility required for professional daily wear. The use of recycled materials throughout its construction demonstrates a commitment to sustainable procurement without sacrificing the premium feel expected from high-quality corporate outerwear.

Key Features
  • YKK Metalux Main Zip: This high-specification fastener provides a smooth, reliable operation and a premium metallic finish that enhances the jacket's professional aesthetic.
  • Recycled Polyester Padding: Strategically placed in the front panels, this padding offers targeted warmth to the core while maintaining a low profile for easy movement.
  • Zipped Side Pockets: Secure storage for essential items ensures that tools or personal belongings remain safe while on the move.
  • Bionic Finish ECO: This sustainable, fluorine-free water-repellent treatment ensures that light rain beads off the fabric surface, keeping the wearer dry during brief showers.
  • Windproof Construction: The combination of materials and finishes provides an effective barrier against biting winds, maintaining thermal comfort in exposed environments.

Design & Performance

The engineering of the Crescent jacket focuses on hybrid performance. The sleeves and back are constructed from a substantial knitted fabric bonded with fleece, providing a soft, tactile interior and a smart, durable exterior. This fabric includes a touch of elastane, which allows for a natural range of motion that is often restricted in traditional padded coats. The front body features a lightweight shell with thin-baffle padding, providing critical insulation where it is most needed without adding unnecessary bulk.

Sustainability is integrated into the very fibres of this garment. The outer fabric is primarily derived from recycled plastic bottles and textile waste, meeting both Reach and Global Compact standards. This ensures that your professional wardrobe aligns with modern environmental expectations while providing a garment that is built to withstand the rigours of frequent use.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Crescent jacket is an excellent canvas for customisation, whether you require subtle corporate branding or a bold visual identity. For a truly professional appearance, we recommend embroidery. This method is particularly effective on the chest area, where our precision stitching can reproduce your company logo with exceptional clarity and durability. The structured nature of the hybrid fabric supports the weight of dense embroidery designs without puckering.

Alternatively, the smooth front panels are well-suited for high-quality film print, which is ideal for larger graphics or more intricate, multi-coloured designs. All customisation is performed by our expert in-house team at our Telford facility. Having been established in 1976, MyWorkwear possesses the technical knowledge to ensure your branding is applied with the utmost care, reflecting the quality of your business.

Use Cases

This jacket is perfectly suited for professional environments that require a balance of style and practicality. It is an ideal solution for female staff in client-facing roles, site management, or corporate events where a standard fleece may appear too casual and a heavy parka too cumbersome. It functions excellently as a standalone outer layer in spring and autumn, or as a thermal mid-layer beneath a larger waterproof shell in more severe conditions.

Practical Advice

The Crescent jacket is designed with a feminine fit, ranging from size 8 (XS) to 20 (3XL). Due to the hybrid nature of the garment and its tailored cut, we suggest reviewing the specific size guide to ensure the best fit, particularly if you intend to wear it over thicker office attire. The elastane content in the sleeves provides some flexibility, but for a more relaxed feel, some users may prefer to size up.

Caring for your product

To maintain the technical performance and professional appearance of your Crescent jacket, it is essential to follow the recommended care protocol. Regular maintenance ensures the water-repellent finish remains effective and the recycled padding retains its loft.

We recommend a maximum washing temperature of 30°C using a normal process. Exceeding this temperature can damage the synthetic fibres and may compromise the integrity of any applied customisation, such as print or embroidery.

Under no circumstances should you use bleach on this garment. Harsh chemical agents will degrade the recycled polyester and strip the Bionic Finish ECO water-repellency, leading to a loss of both colour and function.

This jacket must not be ironed. The high heat of an iron will melt the technical synthetic fabrics and ruin the padded front panels. To remove wrinkles, we suggest hanging the garment in a well-ventilated area after washing.

Do not dry clean or tumble dry the Crescent jacket. The mechanical agitation and intense heat of these processes can cause the padding to clump and may damage the bonded fleece sleeves. Instead, allow the jacket to air dry naturally for the best results.
