Product Overview

The Nimbus Fairview is a sophisticated, technical winter jacket engineered to provide superior protection in urban environments without the bulk of traditional outerwear. This well-engineered garment balances high-performance features with a contemporary fit, making it an essential piece of equipment for those who require a professional appearance in demanding weather conditions. It features a short extended back tail for improved coverage and taped seams to ensure a high standard of weatherproofing.

Key Features
  • Recycled Fabric Construction: Made primarily from recycled plastic bottles and textile waste, this jacket supports environmental responsibility while maintaining high performance.
  • Sorona Aura Insulation: This bio-based padding provides excellent thermal retention, keeping the wearer warm while remaining breathable and lightweight.
  • Bionic Finish ECO: A sustainable water-repellent finish that allows rain to bead off the surface, ensuring the wearer remains dry in inclement weather.
  • Adjustable and Detachable Hood: Offers versatile protection that can be adapted based on the weather or the required level of formality.
  • Lycra Windbreaker Cuffs: Integrated storm cuffs prevent cold air from entering the sleeves, significantly increasing thermal efficiency during outdoor tasks.

Design & Performance

Performance is at the heart of the Fairview jacket. The outer shell is crafted from 100% recycled polyester with a PU coating, providing a robust barrier against wind and rain. With a water resistance rating of 5000mm and breathability of 5000gsm/24h, the jacket ensures that moisture is kept out while allowing internal vapour to escape, preventing the wearer from becoming damp through perspiration. The use of YKK reversible zips ensures long-term reliability and smooth operation, even in cold conditions.

The insulation is particularly noteworthy; Sorona Aura is a partially bio-based material that mimics the loft of down but remains effective even when damp. This ensures consistent warmth throughout the working day without the heavy weight of traditional padded jackets.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Fairview jacket is designed to accommodate both print and embroidery, making it a versatile choice for corporate branding. For a professional appearance, we recommend embroidery for company logos and individual names; the structured nature of the outer shell provides an excellent foundation for high-density stitching. For larger, more prominent branding across the back, our high-quality print processes provide a sharp, clear finish that remains durable.

All customisation is carried out at our facility in Telford by an expert team that has been honing its craft since 1976, ensuring your brand is represented with the highest level of detail.

Use Cases

The clean, modern design of this jacket makes it ideal for corporate layers where a smart-casual or professional look is required. It is perfectly suited for project managers, surveyors, and business owners who transition between the office and site visits. Its weather-protective features also make it a reliable choice for staff commuting in urban settings or attending outdoor events during the winter months.

Practical Advice

This jacket offers an uncompromising comfortable fit, but for those planning to wear heavy knitwear or multiple layers underneath, we recommend consulting our size guide to ensure optimal movement. The sizing ranges from Small to 4XL, catering to a wide range of body types. The inclusion of an adjustable hood and windbreaker cuffs allows for a custom fit that seals out the elements effectively.

Caring for your product

To maintain the technical integrity of the Fairview jacket, particularly the Bionic Finish ECO water-repellency and the PU coating, it is essential to follow the care instructions provided on the sewn-in tag. Regular maintenance ensures the garment continues to perform as intended and retains its professional appearance.

Failure to follow the specific care requirements can lead to the breakdown of the waterproof membrane and the flattening of the Sorona Aura insulation, which would reduce the jacket's ability to retain heat. By caring for the recycled polyester correctly, you ensure the longevity of the garment and maintain your professional branding for longer.
