Product Overview
The AWDis Just Hoods Varsity Jacket (JH043) is a masterclass in American-inspired design, adapted for the professional requirements of the UK workforce. This is not merely a leisure garment; it is a well-engineered jacket that balances a distinctive aesthetic with functional durability. Featuring contrast sleeves and matching press-studs, it offers a coordinated and professional appearance that stands out in any business or team environment. The substantial construction ensures it provides the necessary warmth and protection required for daily wear.
Key Features
Press-stud closure: The high-quality contrast poppers allow for efficient fastening and unfastening, maintaining a secure fit throughout the working day.
Knitted collar, cuffs, and waistband: The striped detailing is not only a nod to classic design but provides essential elasticity and shape retention, ensuring the jacket remains snug and professional after repeated use.
Welt contrast pockets: These pockets offer a practical storage solution for small essentials while the contrast trim reinforces the pocket openings for added durability.
Taped back neck and hanging loop: The neck tape provides a smooth finish that prevents irritation against the skin, while the hanging loop allows for convenient storage in a workplace setting.
Design & Performance
Fabricated from a sophisticated blend of ringspun cotton and polyester, this jacket is designed for peak performance. The ringspun process creates a smoother, stronger yarn, which results in a fabric that is resilient against the daily rigours of work while remaining soft to the touch. The interior features a brushed fleece lining, providing a thermal barrier that is essential for maintaining body temperature in cooler environments. Outside, the fabric is engineered with a soft cotton face, specifically chosen because it provides a superior foundation for detailed decoration and branding.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This varsity jacket is a versatile canvas for your brand identity. At MyWorkwear, our Telford-based team has been perfecting the art of garment decoration since 1976, ensuring your logo is applied with technical precision. This specific fabric blend is ideally suited for both print and embroidery applications.
Embroidery is the preferred choice for a professional and enduring finish. It is particularly effective for chest logos or individual names, where the density of the thread provides a three-dimensional, premium look that will not fade. For larger, more complex graphics or bold promotional designs on the back, our printing process takes full advantage of the smooth cotton-faced fabric, delivering sharp lines and vibrant colours that catch the eye and reinforce your brand presence.
Use Cases
This jacket is an excellent choice for businesses looking to move away from traditional workwear without sacrificing professionalism. It is ideally suited for creative agencies, technical support teams, the hospitality sector, and sports clubs. Its unisex design ensures a consistent look across your entire team, whether they are in the office or out in the field.

Practical Advice
The JH043 is available in a broad size range from XS to 3XL, catering to all team members. Because of its heavyweight fabric and brushed fleece lining, it serves as a substantial outer layer. If you intend for your staff to wear this over heavy sweaters or additional layers during the winter months, we recommend reviewing our size guide to ensure a comfortable fit for all-day movement.
Caring for your product
To maintain the structural integrity of your jacket and the longevity of your custom branding, proper care is essential. Following these instructions will ensure your investment continues to look professional for longer.
We recommend a machine wash at 30°C. Washing at this lower temperature protects the cotton fibres from premature degradation and prevents the high-contrast colours from bleeding, keeping the garment looking fresh.
Do not use bleach. Bleaching agents are highly destructive to the polyester/cotton blend and will ruin the contrast sleeve design, while also weakening the fabric's resistance to tears.
Do not tumble dry. The high heat of a tumble dryer can cause the knitted cuffs and waistband to lose their elasticity and may cause printed designs to warp or crack. Air drying is the safest method to preserve the jacket's shape.
Use a low iron setting. Excessive heat can damage the brushed fleece interior and should never be applied directly to embroidered or printed logos, as this can melt the threads or inks.
Do not dry clean. The chemicals used in the dry cleaning process are often too aggressive for the specialist materials used in garment decoration and can lead to the fading of your custom logo.
