Product Overview

The AWDis Just Cool 1/2 zip sweatshirt is a technical layer engineered for performance and comfort. Constructed from a specialised CoolFit blended fabric, this medium-weight sweatshirt offers a balance of warmth and breathability, making it a reliable choice for active environments. Its tight fit and athletic silhouette ensure it remains unobtrusive when worn under heavier outerwear or as a standalone top layer during physical activity.

With integrated UPF 30+ UV protection, this garment is as much about safety as it is about style, providing a necessary barrier against the sun for those working outdoors. The design is finished with thoughtful details such as a stand-up collar and a chin guard, demonstrating a commitment to professional-grade functionality.

Key Features
  • CoolFit Stretch Fabric: The inclusion of elastane provides significant stretch, allowing the garment to retain its shape while following the contours of the body for a superior fit.
  • Raglan Sleeves: This design removes the shoulder seam, providing a greater range of motion and reducing potential irritation during repetitive movements.
  • UPF 30+ UV Protection: The fabric is treated to block a high percentage of ultraviolet rays, essential for long shifts in outdoor conditions.
  • Chin Guard and Stand-up Collar: The zip is equipped with a guard to prevent skin irritation, while the collar provides additional warmth and protection from the elements.
  • Integrated Reflective Tab: Located on the back of the neck, this tab secures earphone cords, ensuring they remain out of the way while you work.

Design & Performance

The performance of this sweatshirt is rooted in its material composition of 87% polyester and 13% elastane. This blend results in a medium-weight fabric that is both durable and exceptionally flexible. The tight fit is designed to wick moisture efficiently, keeping the wearer dry during periods of high exertion. The self-fabric contrast colour binding at the zip, cuffs, and hem adds structural integrity to the edges of the garment, ensuring it maintains its professional appearance through rigorous daily use.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This sweatshirt is an excellent canvas for both print and embroidery. For a traditional, permanent finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and staff names on the chest area. This method provides a textured, high-quality look that withstands frequent laundering. For larger, more vibrant branding, our printing services offer a crisp and bold finish that is highly visible.

Our in-house team at MyWorkwear has been refining these processes since 1976. Every garment is handled at our facility in Telford, ensuring your branding is applied with precision and care by experts who understand the demands of the trade.

Use Cases

Given its athletic cut and moisture-managing properties, this sweatshirt is ideal for delivery drivers, site supervisors, and active technicians who require a layer that doesn't restrict movement. It is equally suited for sports teams and corporate leisurewear, providing a unified and professional look for staff across various sectors.

Choosing MyWorkwear means partnering with a company that has nearly half a century of experience. Since 1976, we have been providing high-quality custom apparel from our Telford base. We combine our long-standing heritage with modern technical expertise to ensure every item we produce meets the high standards our customers expect.

Practical Advice

This garment is designed with a tight fit to maximise the performance properties of the CoolFit fabric. If you prefer a slightly more relaxed feel or intend to wear a heavy base layer underneath, you may wish to consider moving up one size. The tear-off label is also a useful feature if you are looking to rebrand these garments for your own merchandise or uniform range.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the technical properties of your sweatshirt requires proper care. We recommend a domestic wash at 30°C. Washing at this lower temperature helps preserve the elastane fibres, ensuring the garment retains its stretch and fit over time.

Do not use bleach, as harsh chemicals will degrade the polyester fibres and cause the colour to fade prematurely. This garment should not be tumble dried; instead, allow it to air dry to prevent heat damage and shrinkage.

Avoid ironing the sweatshirt entirely. The heat from an iron can melt the synthetic fibres and damage any applied print or embroidery. Similarly, do not dry clean this item, as the chemicals used in the process are not compatible with the CoolFit fabric technology.
