Product Overview

The Henbury HB583 Womens Long Sleeve Coolplus Shirt represents a sophisticated shift in professional attire, merging the tactile comfort of a traditional cotton shirt with the high-performance moisture management of modern synthetics. This garment is engineered for the professional who requires a sharp, formal appearance without sacrificing comfort during long shifts. By utilizing 100% Coolplus permanent wicking fabric, Henbury has created a shirt that remains breathable and dry, effectively bridging the gap between functional sportswear and corporate formalwear.

Key Features
  • Permanent Wicking Fabric: The Coolplus technology is integrated into the fibres, ensuring moisture is drawn away from the skin consistently throughout the life of the garment.
  • Shaped Side Seams and Darts: Front and back darts combined with shaped side seams provide a tailored, feminine silhouette that looks professional and fits comfortably.
  • Wrinkle-Resistant Finish: Designed to withstand the rigours of a busy workday, this fabric resists creasing, keeping you looking crisp from morning until evening.
  • Button-Down Collar: The classic button-down collar ensures a neat and stable appearance, preventing the collar from splaying under pressure.
  • Tag-Free Design: The absence of a physical neck label eliminates irritation, making it an excellent choice for those with sensitive skin or for rebranding purposes.

Design & Performance

This shirt is crafted from a lightweight fabric that defies expectations; while it is 100% polyester, it possesses a soft, "cotton-hand" feel that is pleasant against the skin. The technical construction features a back yoke for structural integrity and a front placket adorned with eight self-coloured pearlised buttons for a refined finish. The adjustable cuffs allow for a personalised fit, accommodating different wrist sizes or the need to roll up sleeves during more active tasks. Its performance is rooted in its ability to regulate temperature, making it a superior choice for environments where temperature fluctuations are common.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The HB583 is an ideal canvas for corporate branding. We recommend embroidery for a distinguished, professional finish; the stable weave of the Coolplus fabric supports intricate logos and individual names with exceptional clarity. For larger, more vibrant promotional designs, this shirt also accepts high-quality printing. Our Telford-based team, operating since 1976, oversees the entire customisation process in-house, ensuring that your brand identity is rendered with precision and durability that matches the garment's own lifespan.

Use Cases

This shirt is perfectly suited for the hospitality sector, where staff must maintain a formal appearance while remaining active and cool. It is equally effective in corporate office environments, retail management, and professional services where a clean, wrinkle-free look is non-negotiable. Its moisture-wicking properties also make it a practical choice for trade show staff and event coordinators who are frequently on the move.

Practical Advice

Available in a wide size range from XS to 4XL, this shirt offers an inclusive fit for entire teams. For the best aesthetic results, we recommend choosing your standard UK size, as the shaped side seams provide a true-to-size feminine fit. For those working in colder environments, the lightweight nature of the fabric makes it an excellent base layer under a tailored blazer or a professional knitwear piece.

Caring for your product

To maintain the technical wicking properties and the structural integrity of this shirt, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C on a synthetic cycle. Using higher temperatures may compromise the polyester fibres and affect the longevity of your custom branding.

It is vital to avoid the use of fabric softeners. Softeners can coat the technical fibres, effectively 'clogging' the wicking pores and reducing the shirt's ability to manage moisture. Similarly, avoid bleach and dry cleaning, as these harsh chemicals can degrade the fabric's soft-touch finish.

When drying, use a low tumble dry setting to prevent heat damage. For ironing, a cool iron is sufficient to remove any minor laundry creases, though the wrinkle-resistant nature of the fabric means you will likely spend far less time at the ironing board than you would with a standard cotton alternative. Always wash dark colours separately to prevent any dye transfer.
