Product Overview
The Henbury HB718 is a sophisticated, modern reimagining of the traditional cardigan, blending the comfort of knitwear with the contemporary silhouette of a bomber jacket. Designed for a unisex fit, this garment provides a versatile layer that works equally well in a professional office environment or a high-end retail setting. The fine-knit construction ensures a smooth finish that feels substantial without being overly heavy, making it an ideal choice for year-round wear in temperature-controlled environments.
Key Features
- Full Front Metal Zip: The robust metal zip and puller provide a secure closure and a premium aesthetic that outlasts standard plastic alternatives.
- Welted Front Pockets: These pockets offer practical storage for small essentials while maintaining a streamlined and uncluttered profile.
- 1x1 Ribbed Detailing: The neck, hem, and cuffs feature high-quality ribbing to ensure the garment retains its shape and elasticity over time.
- Semi-Fashioned Sleeves: This technical construction method provides a superior fit around the shoulder and arm, enhancing both comfort and the overall silhouette.
- Tear-Out Brand Label: A practical feature for businesses looking to rebrand or for staff who find traditional labels irritating.
Design & Performance
Engineered from a balanced 50% cotton and 50% acrylic blend, this cardigan delivers the best of both worlds. The cotton provides natural breathability and a soft hand-feel, while the acrylic ensures the garment holds its colour and resists the stretching or bagging often associated with pure natural fibres. The fine-gauge knit results in a dense, uniform fabric that provides a professional appearance while remaining flexible enough for active roles. As part of a coordinated range, it allows for a unified team look across different styles.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The smooth, tight surface of this fine-knit fabric makes it a superb candidate for both print and embroidery. For a traditional and durable finish, embroidery is highly recommended for company logos or individual names, providing a textured, professional appearance that withstands frequent laundering. If your branding requires larger, more intricate designs, our high-quality printing processes are equally effective. All customisation is managed in-house at our Telford facility, where we have been perfecting our craft since 1976.
Use Cases
This cardigan is ideally suited for front-of-house staff, hospitality teams, and corporate environments where a jumper or sweatshirt might feel too casual. Its modern bomber style makes it a popular choice for brands that want to project a forward-thinking, contemporary image while maintaining a high standard of professional dress.

Practical Advice
This is a unisex garment with a broad size range from XXS to 3XL. When ordering for a team, we recommend reviewing the chest measurements to ensure the best fit, particularly for female staff who may prefer a more tailored look. This cardigan layers exceptionally well over a collared shirt or a simple crew-neck t-shirt depending on the required formality.
Caring for your product
To maintain the structural integrity and professional finish of this knitwear, we recommend a gentle domestic wash at 40°C. This temperature ensures thorough cleaning while protecting the cotton and acrylic fibres from heat damage. It is essential to wash dark colours separately to prevent any pigment transfer that could dull the garment.
Do not use bleach, as this will break down the fabric fibres and lead to premature wear and fading. We strongly advise against tumble drying; the mechanical heat can cause the knit to contract and lose its shape. Instead, reshape the garment while damp and dry it flat away from direct heat sources or sunlight to preserve its original dimensions.
When ironing, use a medium setting and always iron on the reverse of the garment. This protects the exterior knit from heat sheen and ensures any custom branding, such as prints or embroidery, remains undamaged and vibrant for the life of the garment.
