Product Overview

The Dennys Ladies Long Sleeve Premium Chef's Jacket is a masterclass in professional catering attire, designed specifically for the female silhouette. This is not a generic garment; it is a well-engineered tunic that combines traditional chefwear aesthetics with a modern, eco-conscious approach to manufacturing. Crafted from a blend of recycled polyester and cotton, this jacket offers the durability required for the heat of a professional kitchen while maintaining a crisp, authoritative appearance. The tailored three-panel back ensures that the garment moves with you during the most demanding service shifts, avoiding the boxy, restrictive feel of lesser alternatives.

Key Features
  • Recycled Fabric Construction: Utilising GRS-certified recycled polyester, this jacket provides a sustainable choice without compromising on the longevity or structural integrity of the garment.
  • Shaped Front and Three-Panel Back: These design elements provide a superior fit tailored for women, ensuring a professional appearance that remains comfortable throughout long hours.
  • Mandarin Collar Stand: A classic feature that offers a tidy, professional look while providing a degree of protection for the neck against heat and splashes.
  • Stud Closure: The secure stud fastenings allow for quick removal in emergency situations and provide a sleek, snag-free front profile.
  • Left Sleeve Pocket: Strategically placed for immediate access to essential tools like tasting spoons or thermometers.
  • Turn-back French Cuffs: These provide a sophisticated finish to the sleeves, allowing for adjustment and a classic professional aesthetic.

Design & Performance

The performance of this jacket is rooted in its fabric composition. The white variant features a balanced blend of 50% recycled polyester and 50% cotton, while the black version utilises a 65% recycled polyester and 35% cotton mix. This choice of medium-weight fabric ensures the garment is substantial enough to protect against kitchen splashes, yet breathable enough to prevent overheating. The inclusion of polyester provides excellent colour retention and resistance to shrinking, while the cotton ensures a soft feel against the skin. With certifications from OEKO-TEX and WRAP, you can be certain that this garment has been produced to the highest ethical and safety standards.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To truly represent your establishment, we recommend customising this jacket with your brand's identity. Embroidery is the preferred choice for this premium tunic; it provides a raised, high-quality finish for chef names or restaurant logos on the chest or collar, maintaining its professional look even after repeated high-temperature laundering. If you require larger, more vibrant branding for promotional events or high-volume catering, our print services offer a bold and clear finish. Our in-house team in Telford, established in 1976, oversees the entire process to ensure your branding is applied with absolute precision.

Use Cases

This jacket is ideal for executive chefs, sous chefs, and catering managers who require a garment that reflects their seniority and commitment to quality. It is equally suited for front-of-house demonstration kitchens where appearance is as critical as culinary skill. Given its durable construction, it is a reliable choice for high-pressure environments in restaurants, hotels, and professional catering units.

Practical Advice

As this is a shaped ladies' garment, we recommend checking the sizing carefully to ensure the tailored panels sit correctly for maximum comfort. For those working in particularly hot environments, the long sleeves provide excellent protection, but if you prefer more ventilation, this style is also available in a short-sleeve version (DE006). Layering with a lightweight base layer can help with moisture management during peak service times.

Caring for your product

To maintain the professional finish and hygienic standards of your chef's jacket, it is essential to follow the recommended care routine. The fabric is designed to withstand a 65°C wash, which is the industry standard for thermal disinfection. This temperature is necessary to effectively break down food oils and proteins that can harbour bacteria if left untreated.

Avoid using harsh bleaching agents on the black variant, as this will lead to premature fading and compromise the recycled polyester fibres. We recommend air drying where possible; if tumble drying, use a low heat setting to prevent excessive shrinkage. Ironing while slightly damp will help you achieve that crisp, 'starched' appearance that is the hallmark of a professional chef.
