Product Overview

The Craghoppers Expert Kiwi 3-layer softshell jacket is a calculated choice for the professional who requires a balance of smart presentation and practical weather protection. Established as a reliable outer layer, this jacket avoids the unnecessary bulk of traditional coats while offering a substantial barrier against the elements. It is a sensible solution for those who transition frequently between indoor meetings and outdoor site visits.

Key Features
  • Three-layer construction: This design provides a sophisticated internal climate, keeping wind out while allowing for a degree of breathability that prevents overheating during physical activity.
  • Flexible polyester blend: The fabric choice ensures that the jacket moves with the wearer, providing comfort without the restrictive feel of more rigid materials.
  • Weather-resistant finish: Engineered to handle the unpredictable British weather, the outer layer helps keep you dry and comfortable during light showers.
  • Professional silhouette: The cut is designed to look as good in a boardroom as it does on a building site, ensuring your business image remains intact regardless of your location.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a substantial, heavyweight polyester blend, this jacket feels sturdy and well-engineered the moment you put it on. The three-layer technology is not just for show; it acts as a functional system to manage heat and moisture. The outer face is resilient enough to withstand the scuffs and scrapes of a busy workday, while the interior remains comfortable against the skin or over base layers.

The durability of the Craghoppers Expert Kiwi means it won't lose its shape after a few weeks on the job. It is a garment built for longevity, maintaining a crisp, professional appearance even after repeated wear in demanding environments.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This item is available with both print and embroidery customisation.

Embroidery delivers a textured, premium appearance that is ideal for company logos and individual names. It is a particularly robust choice for workwear, as it stands up to repeated washing without fading or peeling, ensuring your brand looks superior for the life of the garment.

Print is better suited to large, bold designs and a broader colour range, making it a versatile option for high-impact branding. Our in-house team, established in 1976, handles all customisation at our Telford facility, ensuring every stitch and print meets our exacting standards.

Use Cases

This jacket is particularly well-suited for site managers, surveyors, and trade professionals who need to maintain a professional appearance while being prepared for outdoor work. It is also an excellent choice for corporate teams who require a uniform that is both practical for commuting and smart enough for client-facing roles.

Practical Advice

This is a substantial jacket, but for those working in particularly harsh winter conditions, we recommend pairing it with a moisture-wicking base layer and a mid-weight fleece. Regarding sizing, if you prefer a more tailored look for office use, your standard size should suffice; however, if you intend to wear several layers beneath it on-site, you may wish to consider a larger size to ensure full range of movement in the arms and shoulders.

Caring for your product

To maintain the technical performance of the three-layer fabric and ensure your custom branding remains vibrant, proper care is essential. Neglecting these instructions can lead to a breakdown in the fabric's weather-resistant properties.

We recommend a gentle wash at the temperature specified on the internal care label. Using aggressive detergents or fabric softeners should be avoided, as these can coat the fibres and diminish the jacket's breathability and water repellency over time.

When drying, it is best to air dry the jacket away from direct heat sources. Excessive heat in a tumble dryer can damage the bonded layers of the softshell, potentially leading to delamination and a loss of the garment's structural integrity.
