Craghoppers Expert Basecamp II softshell jacket

Product Overview

The Craghoppers Expert Basecamp II softshell jacket is a dependable choice for the professional who refuses to be sidelined by the British weather. Built for men who need more than just a standard layer, this jacket offers a substantial feel that provides immediate confidence when stepping onto a site. It strikes the perfect balance between a formal appearance and the rugged utility required for manual or outdoor work, ensuring you look like you mean business even when the clouds roll in.

Key Features

• Substantial polyester blend fabric: Provides a robust outer layer that resists the wear and tear of daily use, ensuring your investment lasts through many a long shift.
• Softshell construction: Offers a high degree of wind resistance to keep the chill at bay while remaining flexible enough for active tasks on-site.
• Versatile size range: Available from Small to 3XL, ensuring a professional and comfortable fit for the whole team.
• Professional colour palette: Choices like Carbon Grey and Navy allow for a consistent company image that hides the occasional speck of dust or grease.

Design & Performance

The Expert Basecamp II is engineered from a substantial polyester blend, moving away from the thin, flimsy layers often found elsewhere. This heavyweight material provides a sturdy barrier against the elements without restricting your movement, which is essential when climbing ladders or handling equipment. The fabric is designed to be resilient; the smooth exterior is less prone to snagging on rough surfaces, while the interior remains comfortable for all-day wear. It is a well-engineered garment that prioritises function without sacrificing a clean, professional appearance.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This item is available with both print and embroidery customisation. Embroidery delivers a textured, premium appearance — ideal for logos and names — and stands up to repeated washing without fading. Print is better suited to large, bold designs and a broader colour range. Our in-house team (established 1976) handles all customisation in Telford.

Use Cases

This jacket is particularly well-suited for site supervisors, surveyors, and outdoor contractors who need to maintain a professional image while staying warm. It is also an excellent choice for corporate uniforms where a branded, unified look is required across a team working in various outdoor environments.

Why MyWorkwear

We have been specialists in the trade since 1976. Based in Telford, our heritage is built on providing durable, high-quality garments to businesses across the UK. We don't just supply clothes; we provide a professional identity, backed by decades of expertise in garment selection and customisation. After all, appearing professional is half the battle; the other half is actually staying warm.

Practical Advice

Given its heavyweight construction, this jacket is an excellent outer layer. We recommend layering it over a polo shirt or sweatshirt for maximum comfort. If you plan on wearing multiple thick layers underneath for winter work, you may wish to consider a slightly more generous size to ensure you maintain a full range of movement in your arms and shoulders.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and longevity of this softshell jacket, it is vital to adhere to the care instructions provided on the internal garment label. Neglecting these guidelines can lead to a loss of the fabric's protective qualities, meaning it may not perform as intended when the weather turns.

Proper care also protects your custom branding. Excessive heat or harsh chemicals can compromise the bond of a print or cause embroidery threads to lose their lustre. A little attention to detail during washing ensures your team continues to represent your business in the best possible light.
