Product Overview

The Brook Taverner Syracuse Non-Iron Pilot Shirt is a sophisticated garment engineered for professionals who require a sharp, authoritative appearance without the daily chore of ironing. Crafted from 100% cotton twill, this short-sleeved shirt combines the natural breathability and comfort of premium cotton with a technical finish that keeps the fabric crisp and smooth throughout the working day. The tailored fit provides a modern silhouette that looks professional and structured, whether worn as a standalone piece or under a uniform jacket.

Key Features

  • Tailored fit: Provides a contemporary, streamlined appearance that eliminates excess fabric for a cleaner, professional look.

  • 100% Non-Iron Cotton Twill: Offers the superior comfort of natural fibres while utilising a finish that resists creasing and saves significant time on garment maintenance.

  • Two chest pockets with pointed flaps: Delivers a traditional uniform aesthetic while providing secure storage for essential items.

  • Integrated pen holder: A practical addition that ensures writing instruments are always accessible during administrative or technical tasks.

  • Classic collar and epaulettes: The structured collar maintains its shape, while the epaulettes allow for the easy attachment of rank slides or security insignia.

Design & Performance

This shirt is constructed from a lightweight yet durable cotton twill, providing a soft hand-feel that does not compromise on longevity. The 100% cotton composition ensures excellent moisture management, keeping the wearer cool and comfortable in demanding environments such as cockpits or busy transport hubs. The non-iron performance is a result of advanced fabric treatment that allows the shirt to shed creases naturally after washing, ensuring you remain presentable even after long shifts or periods of travel.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To enhance your professional identity, the Syracuse shirt is an ideal candidate for customisation. We highly recommend embroidery for this garment; a precision-stitched logo above the chest pocket or on the collar provides a prestigious, long-lasting finish that complements the premium twill fabric. For larger or more vibrant branding requirements, our high-quality print services are also available. Every customisation is managed by our expert in-house team in Telford, drawing on our heritage in the industry since 1976 to ensure your branding is executed with technical excellence.

Use Cases

While designed with the aviation industry in mind, the Syracuse shirt is equally suited for private security firms, luxury concierge services, and corporate transport professionals. Its high-authority design makes it a staple for anyone who needs to convey a sense of leadership and reliability.

Practical Advice

As this garment features a tailored fit, we recommend selecting your usual size for a contemporary, close-to-body feel. If you prefer a more relaxed fit across the chest and waist, you may wish to consider a larger size. The short-sleeve design makes this an excellent choice for layering or for use in warmer, climate-controlled environments.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-performance non-iron finish and the structural integrity of the cotton twill, it is essential to follow the specific care instructions provided on the garment label. Proper laundering ensures the fibres remain resilient and continue to provide a crisp appearance without the need for heavy pressing.

Avoid the use of harsh detergents or bleaching agents, as these can degrade the natural cotton fibres and compromise the technical finish that provides the non-iron benefit. Gentle care will extend the life of the garment and keep your custom branding looking sharp for years to come.
