Product Overview

The Brook Taverner Juliet Straight Skirt is a masterclass in professional tailoring, specifically engineered for the modern corporate environment. As part of the prestigious Eclipse Collection, this garment offers a streamlined, sophisticated silhouette that does not compromise on mobility or comfort. Designed for the professional who requires a sharp appearance from the first meeting of the day to the final commute, it balances classic aesthetics with functional design elements.

Key Features
  • Full Stretch Lining: This internal layer moves with the wearer, reducing friction and ensuring the skirt maintains its shape while providing an extra level of comfort against the skin.
  • Rear Panel Detail with Centre Vent: The inclusion of a centre vent is essential for a straight-cut skirt, allowing for a natural stride and preventing the fabric from straining when walking or sitting.
  • LYCRA® Integration: The small percentage of elastane provides critical recovery properties, meaning the skirt won't lose its form or 'bag' at the seat after a long day at a desk.
  • Sustainable Fabric Blend: Utilising 30% recycled polyester, this garment supports corporate social responsibility goals without sacrificing the durability required for daily wear.

Design & Performance

The fabric composition of 64% polyester, 34% viscose, and 2% LYCRA® creates a medium-weight textile that is both hard-wearing and soft to the touch. The viscose provides a subtle sheen and breathable quality, while the polyester ensures the garment is resistant to creasing. This is a well-engineered garment designed to withstand the rigours of a busy office or hospitality environment while maintaining a crisp, professional appearance.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

At MyWorkwear, we understand that a uniform is a reflection of your brand. The Juliet Straight Skirt is exceptionally well-suited for embroidery, which provides a traditional and durable finish. Our Telford-based team, drawing on expertise established in 1976, can apply subtle logos to the waistband or hemline to enhance your corporate identity. While the fabric can also accommodate print for more striking designs, embroidery is generally preferred for this style of formal workwear to maintain a superior finish.

Use Cases

This skirt is the ideal choice for corporate office staff, receptionists, and management teams within the hospitality sector. Its clean lines and professional cut make it a versatile piece that pairs perfectly with tailored blouses and jackets, ensuring your team presents a unified and professional image to clients and guests alike.

Why MyWorkwear

With a heritage stretching back to 1976, MyWorkwear has the technical knowledge and practical experience to deliver high-quality workwear solutions. All our customisation is handled in-house at our facility in Telford, ensuring that every garment meets our rigorous standards for quality and precision.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, keep in mind the straight silhouette of the Juliet. The full stretch lining and LYCRA® content offer some flexibility, but for the best professional look, the skirt should sit comfortably on the waist and hips to allow the centre vent to hang correctly. This item is designed to coordinate seamlessly with other garments in the Eclipse Collection for a complete uniform solution.

Caring for your product

To preserve the life of your garment and ensure your custom branding remains in peak condition, it is vital to follow the machine washable instructions. Regular cleaning at the recommended settings helps to remove environmental pollutants that can otherwise weaken the fabric fibres over time.

We advise against the use of biological detergents or bleach, as these chemical agents can break down the viscose and elastane components, leading to a loss of elasticity and colour fading. When drying, it is best to avoid high heat to prevent the stretch lining from shrinking, which would distort the outer shape of the skirt.
