Product Overview

The Bella Canvas Unisex Crew Neck Heavy Sweatshirt represents a sophisticated evolution of the standard workwear staple. Merging a contemporary, boxy Y2K-inspired silhouette with the robust construction required for daily wear, this garment offers a relaxed fit that does not compromise on professional appearance. Its unisex fleece construction provides a substantial feel, ensuring the wearer remains comfortable while maintaining a structured profile that reflects quality craftsmanship.

Key Features
  • Side-Seamed Construction: Unlike tubular garments, these side seams ensure the sweatshirt maintains its tailored shape and structural integrity, preventing the garment from twisting or torquing after multiple laundry cycles.
  • Set-In, Slightly Dropped Sleeves: This design choice provides a modern, relaxed aesthetic while allowing for a full range of motion, making it ideal for active work environments.
  • Tear-Out Tag: The inclusion of a removable label allows for easy rebranding or simply eliminates the irritation often caused by traditional neck labels.
  • Extensive Size Range: Available from XS up to 4XL, this sweatshirt ensures your entire workforce can be outfitted in a consistent, professional manner.
  • Ethical Accreditations: Being WRAP, Fair Labour Association, and Bluesign certified, this garment meets high standards for ethical production and environmental responsibility.

Design & Performance

The fabric composition is a meticulously balanced blend of 60% Airlume combed ringspun cotton and 40% polyester. The Airlume cotton undergoes an intensive refining process to remove impurities, resulting in a significantly smoother and more durable surface than standard cotton. This heavy-weight fabric provides excellent thermal properties and a soft-touch interior that feels premium against the skin.

The addition of polyester ensures the sweatshirt retains its shape and resists the shrinking or stretching often associated with high-cotton garments. This combination creates a hard-wearing piece of equipment that handles the rigours of a busy working day while retaining its 'as new' finish for longer.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This heavy-weight sweatshirt is an exceptional canvas for both print and embroidery. The high cotton content and smooth surface of the Airlume ringspun cotton make it particularly well-suited for detailed screen printing or digital transfers, ensuring big, bold designs remain vibrant and sharp.

For those seeking a more traditional, authoritative look, the substantial weight of the fabric supports high-density embroidery beautifully. Whether you require a corporate logo on the chest or staff names on the sleeve, our in-house team in Telford—who have been perfecting this craft since 1976—will ensure a superior finish that reflects your brand's standards.

Use Cases

This garment is perfectly suited for creative agencies, modern retail environments, and festival staff where a contemporary silhouette is preferred. It also serves as an excellent option for premium corporate gifting during the 'cosy season' or as a durable layer for tradespeople who require warmth without the bulk of a heavy jacket.

Why MyWorkwear

Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been a cornerstone of the UK workwear industry. Based in Telford, our decades of expertise ensure that every garment we customise meets our exacting standards. We understand that your workwear is more than just clothing; it is a representation of your business, and we treat every stitch with the respect it deserves.

Practical Advice

This sweatshirt features a relaxed, boxy fit. If you prefer a more fitted appearance, you may wish to consider sizing down, though we recommend consulting the sizing guide to ensure the chest measurements align with your requirements. It layers exceptionally well over a lightweight t-shirt for added warmth in colder environments.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity and surface finish of this heavy-weight sweatshirt, it should be machine washed on a warm cycle, inside out, with similar colours. Washing inside out protects the outer fibres and any custom branding from abrasive contact with the machine drum.

Only use non-chlorine bleach when necessary. Harsh chemicals can degrade the polyester fibres and cause the Airlume cotton to lose its characteristic softness and colour depth.

We strongly advise against tumble drying this garment. Allowing the sweatshirt to air dry naturally prevents the risk of heat-induced shrinkage and ensures the relaxed silhouette remains true to size over time.

When ironing, ensure you do not iron directly over any decoration, whether it is print or embroidery. High heat can melt print adhesives or distort embroidery threads, potentially damaging both the customisation and the surrounding fabric.
