Our Co-Managing Director is taking on the Radical Rogues Rally again
Get ready for an exciting annual fundraising challenge by the RADical Rogues team and the organiser MyWorkwear’s Co-Managing Director, James Worthington.
On May 17th 2024, the Radical Rogues will be raising funds again for the Race Against Dementia (RAD) charity. The Radical Rogues will be setting off from the Midlands to drive around the Ring of Kerry in Southern Ireland, which will be around a 1,600-mile trip.
THE HISTORY OF THE RADICAL ROGUES RALLY
In May 2023, the Radical Rogues achieved an outstanding feat. Despite setting an initial target of £2,000, they managed to raise an impressive £4,191 for the charity.
A convoy of supercars, sports cars, and classic cars, led by the fearless RADical Rogues, embarked on a remarkable journey through the enchanting landscapes of Wales. Covering over 500 miles, the rally traversed four breathtaking routes: the awe-inspiring Dragons Spine, the mesmerizing Snowdon to Anglesey, the captivating Anglesey itself, and the awe-inspiring Brecon Beacons to South West Coast.
It’s amazing how The RADical Rogues Rally has brought together so many enthusiastic Race Against Dementia advocates and other like-minded individuals to collaborate and support each other. The team includes John Race, a customer and Paint Facility & Technical Lead at Charge Cars, whose father battling Early Stage Dementia, fueled his drive to participate. Also part of the team, are other MyWorkwear customers, including Phil Stanley, the Owner of TWP Group. We also have diecasting members participating, including Simon Hanson, the MD of HCM Engineering who tragically lost his father to dementia, Tony Sartorius, the MD of Alucast, and Steve Wood, Operations Director at Bridge Aluminium Ltd.
And this year, the team got bigger and better with some fresh faces joining the crew! We’re thrilled to welcome Mark Ollerensaw, Director at JPS Projects Ltd, who has been one of our fantastic customers, Richard Thomas, Senior Consultant at Spitfire Consultancy, Alex Brennan, Managing Director of Beamish Prestige Limited, Jason Aulton, Sales Director of Dengensha Europe Ltd, and Alan Dunbar President of Darchem Engineering Ltd to the team.
A PERSONAL MISSION
After losing his father to dementia, our Co-Managing Director, James Worthington, made a heartfelt commitment to support the fight against this disease. His determination to raise awareness and funds for Race Against Dementia has led to the creation of the RADical Rogues Rally, an event aimed at contributing to this cause.
