Case Study: Darchem Engineering
Darchem Engineering Ltd, founded in 1954, is a market leader in the design and manufacture of high integrity engineering products for aerospace, motorsport, marine defence, nuclear and gas applications. Dedicated to innovation, they have paved the way in producing engineered solutions for the toughest of environments.
With this level of experience, it was a priority for Darchem Engineering to ensure they are partnering with suppliers who also value knowledge, experience and quality. Darchem Engineering originally started working with us here at MyWorkwear over two years ago, where we helped them create a fresh and polished workwear look, that not only suited every job role within their business but outwardly promoted their brand.
The Partnership between Darchem Engineering and MyWorkwear
After initially partnering with us in 2023, it was important for us to help create an expert and cohesive uniform for the Darchem Engineering team, that prioritised both style and functionality. Being a company with such a wide variety of job roles, it was imperative for their workwear to be flexible to each member of their team.
Alan Dunbar, President of Darchem Engineering said: “We’ve known MyWorkwear for a number of years, and since partnering with them two years ago, the experience has been consistently positive.” After originally supplying the company with a variety of polo shirts and building the partnership over the next few months, we started to expand the range of workwear we supplied the team.
With over 6,000 different garments on offer, we were able to start crafting an all round uniform that would suit the Darchem Engineering brand and team as a whole. When talking about our customer service, Alan said: “The quality of service we have received has been excellent. The team at MyWorkwear are responsive, knowledgeable and take the time to ensure each order is right for our needs.”
Darchem Engineering’s workwear favourites
As a result of their wide work force, it was imperative that Darchem Engineering’s uniform was versatile. When discussing their workwear, Alan advised: “from office staff to the shop floor [MyWorkwear] have supported us with a wide range of garments including polos, shirts, and soft shells, with both male and female fit options available.”
We also supply the company with PPE items, such as the Portwest Bizweld Work FR Coverall BIZ5 and the Portwest Bizflame Work Lightweight FR Coat FR34, all professionally branded with the Darchem Engineering logo. Branding their PPE not only ensures a cohesive and professional look, but allows them to never miss a chance of promoting their branding. Whether customers are joining their team at their headquarters, or they are taking images of their production process to post onto their social media, their logo is always on display.
Talking about their overall experience working with us here at MyWorkwear, Alan concluded: “Their advice on garment selection, attention to detail in personalisation, and ability to deliver consistently have made them a reliable and valued supplier.”
