More Investment for Growth at UK Workwear Business
MyWorkwear is now setting its sights on over £5 million in sales next year as it looks to secure new business from companies looking for personalised workwear and uniforms.
Investment Funding
Based in Telford, Shropshire, the company has been supporting businesses across the UK with their bespoke workwear and uniforms for nearly 50 years. MyWorkwear is continuing its fast-paced growth thanks to a £190k investment, which is partially funded by two grants from the European Regional Development Fund – a Small Equipment Grant and a Business Growth Programme Grant.
New Projects and Roles
The investment has allowed the business to implement a new CRM system, update its customer portal, undertake additional marketing campaigns and purchase further storage facilities and machinery including 3 embroidery machines.
The growth will also support the creation of 8 new roles at MyWorkwear covering Marketing, Sales, IT and Customer Services.
James Worthington, co-managing director of MyWorkwear, said: “Over the last few years we have seen really strong year-on-year growth, even through the COVID pandemic. This has been as a result of the hard work of our dedicated team and building strong relationships with our customers. The recent funding we have received has enabled us to put even more projects in place aimed at further growth, allowing us to take on more staff and more clients
“We already work with thousands of first-class companies across the UK and from a wider range of industries, including well-known brands such as Vimto, McLaren, the NHS, Oxford University and the local Ironbridge Museums. With the increased capacity and additional marketing efforts, we are looking to support even more customers to take pride in their workwear and uniforms.
Charity and Community
James added: “Having grown from the small manufacturing company started in Telford in 1976, from a personal perspective, it is fantastic to be able to give back to the local community in Shropshire by offering so many new jobs in the area. We will also be focusing on the future generation of engineers through our involvement in STEM activities in the region and will continue our support for local charities such as MIND, Hope House and a Christmas Smile, as well as our national charity, Race Against Dementia
