An Investment of £25,000 Propels Us Towards Achieving £2 Million in Sales

Thanks to renewed investment and the acquisition of new garment print technology, MyWorkwear is bouncing back from COVID-19!

Investment to Push Growth

At MyWorkwear, we are setting our sights on £2 million in sales. By 2023, we will secure new contracts from companies looking for personalised workwear and fast turnaround on orders.

The £25,000 investment, partially funded by a grant from the European Regional Development Fund’s Business Growth Programme 2, will support the creation of two new jobs over the next few months and the installation of a new garment printer and heat press that will increase capacity by 100 per cent.

Statements

James Worthington, Managing Director of MyWorkwear: “Our small, dedicated team has achieved 20% year-on-year growth over the last two years. This is through hard work and a firm commitment to building strategic customer relationships. We remain a family business, originating from my father’s small manufacturing company back in 1976. This funding, matched by our investment, will fuel our post-COVID-19 growth by expanding our workforce and client base.

We already partner with numerous top-tier companies across education, retail, manufacturing, and construction. This includes renowned brands like Vimto, and Oxford University. With increased capacity, we now handle larger orders while maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality workwear promptly and within budget.

It’s gratifying to give back to the Telford community that has supported us by creating these additional local jobs.”

The added support from the Business Growth Programme 2 arrives at an opportune moment to focus on core markets. This includes companies returning to work requiring branded workwear and uniforms, along with new opportunities to provide PPE, face masks, and visors.

James further emphasized, “Collaboration is more critical than ever, particularly in the current challenging economic climate. We are continually exploring innovative ways to partner with local firms and boost business in Shropshire.

We are also strong advocates of manufacturing, and as part of our growth, we will persist in supporting STEM activities in the region, aiming to cultivate and retain the next generation of engineers.”

The Business Growth Programme

The Business Growth Programme 2, partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund, is managed by Birmingham City Council and offers grants to small to medium-sized enterprises in The Marches Local Enterprise Partnership area.

It is designed to strengthen supply chains, stimulate innovation and help businesses grow.
